A driver has passed away from his injuries following a single-car accident in Rockcastle County.

Kentucky State Police troopers and firefighters responded to Flat Gap Rd. near the Rockcastle-Madison line around 4 p.m. Sunday.

Troopers tell LEX 18 the driver of a PT Cruiser went off the road and hit a concrete underpass.

The driver, who has not been identified, was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries where he later died, troopers said.

There were no indications of braking at the scene, troopers said.
