Lexington police continue to search for the driver of a car who took off after a crash on Georgetown Street early Tuesday morning.
Police say a PT Cruiser crossed the center line and hit an oncoming car in the passenger side. The driver of the PT Cruiser kept going after the crash.
EMS took a passenger in the car to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, and the driver was treated at the scene for a cut to the head.
Police say the PT Cruiser made it to Citation Boulevard, but the driver had to ditch the vehicle and flee on foot because the axle was broken. Police continue to search for that person.
