Police continue the search for a person who ran away from an injury accident in Lexington early Wednesday morning.

Police say the driver of a car took a corner too fast along Stone Creek Drive, off Man 'O War Boulevard, near Boston Road, around 1 a.m. The car clipped the bumper of an SUV and slammed into the curb. EMS took the driver to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

A passenger in the front seat ran away from the scene. Police brought in a K9 unit to search for that person, but was not able to locate them.

Officers say alcohol was likely a factor in the crash.
