Patterson To Hold Press Conference

Patrick Patterson is planning on having a press conference next week to announce his future.

Signs now point towards the popular power forward leaving, but Tywanna Patterson tells LEX18 Sports that the decision has not been made.

Mrs. Patterson says it will be Patrick's decision. The family is spending the weekend at a reunion, then Patrick and his parents will sit down and talk.

"I will be surprised if he comes back," says Patrick's mother.

"The pros and cons say it's time for him to go."

:"If a couple of people stayed, it might be different."

The only reason to come back according to Mrs. Patterson would be that Patrick believes he "still has unfinished business."

Patrick reached one goal this year by finally playing in the NCAA Tournament. His unfinished business would be winning it all.

Mrs. Patterson still can't watch the tape of the West Virginia loss which kept the Cats from going to the Final Four. She is still that upset.

There might be a new project in her future. With all of her experience about recruiting and dealing with AAU coaches along with everything a big time high school player goes through, she believes she could help other parents, especially single parents, by writing about book to help explain what they are about to face.

I wish Patrick would stay at UK,  he really came out of himself this year, another year no telling what he could accomplish.  I love that kid and love to watch him play.  I wish God's Blessings on Patrick wherever he goes.  I'll be his fan wherever he is.

Yea, I enjoyed watching him eating boogers too. Thanks Pat. You gave booger-eaters everywhere the courage they need to come out and eat boogers whenever they want.
