A car stuck a pedestrian at a crosswalk along North Broadway on the Transylvania University campus just before 9:30 a.m. Friday morning.

Police at the scene say the person hit was a female student at the school, and that another student was the person who hit her. They say the student in the car did not see the pedestrian, and he likely won't face any charges.

Officials say the injured student suffered head injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening.

So far, officials have not yet released the name of the victim or the driver.
