Officials have identified a woman hit and killed by a car in McCreary County Saturday night.

Police say Heather Canada, 23, walked into traffic along US-27 in Whitley City. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities say the driver of the car will not face charges.

The investigation remains open.
