It was a scare in the sky Saturday as a plane that took off from Blue Grass Airport had to turn around and make an emergency landing.
According to airport officials, there were 33 passengers onboard the US Airways flight from Lexington to Philadelphia. The plane took off just before noon, and immediately after, the pilots knew something was wrong and turned the plane around. The plane landed without any issues.
Officials said a high temperature light came on for the thrust reverse, used to slow down the aircraft. As for what caused that to happen, that remains under investigation.
