Police say they caught a man who attempted to rob a Lexington bank inside a nearby grocery store a short time later.

Police say Duane K. Lee walked into the Central Bank branch on Tates Creek Road Monday morning. He handed a teller a note demanding money. When she refused, Lee took off.

Officers arrested Lee a short time later inside the Kroger store at the Tates Creek Center.
