Kentucky State Police say an elderly Madison County woman who died in a fire Sunday morning, March 25th died from blunt force trauma. Police say 86-year-old Anna Marshall's death was a homicide, and they are investigating.

Marshall's body was found in her home on 371 College Hill Road in the Waco community. Arson investigators were called to the scene.

Anna Marshall was well known in the Madison County community. She was the mother of former Madison County Superintendent Glenn Marshall. Marshall died in December 2011.
