Lexington police say they are having a hard time getting answers after a stabbing incident Sunday night, and officers ended up having to arrest the victim.

Police responded to a home along Centre Parkway around 11:15 p.m., after a report about a fight between neighbors. When officers arrived, they found the victim bleeding from a deep cut to his arm. Police say the man would not cooperate with them and struggled against medics who came to treat him.

EMS took the victim to UK Hospital. Police say the man became unruly and they had to arrest him at the hospital. As jailers were booking him into the Fayette County Detention Center, his stitches opened and he had to go back to the hospital.

Back at the scene, police say witnesses gave conflicting stories about the stabbing, and they have not made an arrest.
