Police Find Drugs, Gambling At Tobacco Shop

WINCHESTER (AP) - Kentucky State Police say they seized $51,506 in cash along with eight gambling machines and 2,000 packages of synthetic drugs during a raid on a central Kentucky tobacco shop.

The Winchester Sun reported that officers executed a search warrant Thursday at The Discount Tobacco Store in Winchester after buying synthetic drugs at the shop several times.

Troopers say officers serving the warrant discovered an illegal gambling operation within the business.

Police arrested 53-year-old James Clevenger of Winchester charged him with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.
