Police Find Meth Lab Inside Whitley Co. Apartment

Police in Whitley County arrested a man after discovering a meth lab late Thursday night.

Kentucky State Police say troopers patrolling along KY-779 around 11:30 p.m. noticed a chemical odor. Investigating further, the troopers tracked the smell to an open window at an apartment building. They searched the apartment and discovered a meth lab inside.

Police arrested William L. Mays, 36, of Rockholds, and charged him with manufacturing methamphetamine and three counts of wanton endangerment.
