BOWLING GREEN (AP) - Police in south-central Kentucky say they have identified the body of a man found in the trunk of a car over the weekend.

The Daily News reports the body of 31-year-old Joey Smith of Bowling Green was found Saturday in the trunk of his car, which was parked at an apartment complex in the city.

Bowling Green police officer Ronnie Ward said police aren't releasing how Smith died, but said his death is being investigated as a homicide.
