Police in Jessamine County were on the scene of a standoff with a suspect Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Jessamine Journal, police surrounded a house on S. Third Street in Nicholasville and blocked off from Maple to Broadway and Chestnut to Third Street.

Police say they were called to the home in connection with a burglary.
