Lexington Police continue to investigate after a violent robbery attempt at a pizza restaurant Monday night.

The incident happened at around 9 p.m. at the L.A. Gourmet Pizza on Main Street and Broadway. The clerk told police that a man came in, ordered a pizza and then tried to steal the tip jar. The two got into a scuffle, and the suspect then allegedly hit the clerk over the head with a bike lock.

The suspect ran off without the jar and the clerk was treated for a minor head injury. So far, there have been no arrests in the case.
