A Georgetown couple is recovering after police say they were attacked by baseball bats during a home invasion robbery early Sunday.

Police say two men stormed into a home on Payne Avenue just after midnight Sunday morning demanding prescription drugs and cash. Police say the first thing the two men did was beat the couple who lived in the home with baseball bats, all of it while two children were home. The children were not hurt.

Investigators say they have some initial clues as to why the attackers may have chosen the home, saying it appears that they knew that the residents would have some type of medicine or possibly some cash inside the home.

Still, at this point police aren't sure the victims, whose names have not been released, knew their attackers. The male victim who suffered the most t serious injuries has been released from the hospital. Police say he and his wife will be okay.

Police say they're looking for two Hispanic men between 18 and 20 years old. He was wearing a red hooded-sweatshirt, the other a black hooded sweatshirt with a star logo.
