Police charged a woman with endangering the welfare of a minor after a neighbor found a child crying outside of a Lexington apartment.

According to court documents, Sarah Rain Blue, 35, left her 4-year-old daughter alone in her apartment when she went to the Merrick Inn restaurant for drinks. Police say the little girl woke up and somehow got out of the apartment.

Officers arrested Blue Thursday.
