Police in Bell County made an arrest in a cold case murder investigation on Wednesday.
In January 2008, 92-year-old William Jacob Taylor was beaten at his home near the Frakes community. He died from his injuries a week later.
Kentucky State Police say they arrested Jeremiah Evans, 36, of Pineville and charged him with murder on Wednesday.
LEX 18 spoke with Taylor's sisters before he died. They said he had placed an ad seeking housekeepers. Later, he realized the people he hired were taking advantage of him and asked them to leave. That's when things turned violent.
Police say they are continuing to investigate, and other arrests in the case are pending.
