Late Tuesday night, Kentucky State Police arrested a second person in connection with a workplace murder in Casey County last month.
Police charged William R. Rigdon, 27, with murdering Wendell "Gleason" Pyles at the Tarter Gate Company in Dunnville on Sept. 26.
Last week, police arrested David Salyers, 59, in Taylor County, and charged him with complicity to commit murder. According to the Danville Advocate Messenger, Salyers admitted driving the man who shot Pyles in his truck and later burning it. Detectives say Salyers told them he and Pyles were in an ongoing argument over money that Pyles owed him.
Rigdon has an extensive criminal record. He was jailed over the summer on charges including terroristic threatening and wanton endangerment, along with drug offenses. Police also arrested him in 2010 for possession of a forged instrument and being a persistent felony offender.
