Police have released more details on a Woodford County crash that killed a teenager and injured three others Wednesday evening.

Police say a 17-year-old girl from Lexington was driving a Pontiac Grand Am west on Dry Ridge Road when she crested a hill and dropped off the right side of the roadway. The driver lost control of the car, ran off the left side of the road and slammed into a tree.

Ambrielle Brown, 18, of Lexington, a passenger in the car, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 17-year-old passenger was airlifted from the scene. Officials called the teen's injuries life threatening.

EMS took Sunday Moore, 18, and the driver of the car to UK Hospital for treatment. Officials called their injuries non-life threatening.

Police initially said speed was likely a factor in the crash. Officers continue to investigate.
