Police say a man seriously injured in an accident in Lexington Monday afternoon may have been impaired.
Investigators say Michael Hicks was driving a Dodge Stratus along Winchester Road and crossed the center line, slamming head on into a Toyota Tundra. Firefighters had to cut Hicks from the wreckage with the Jaws of Life. EMS took him to the hospital, and he was last listed in serious condition.
The driver and a passenger in the truck were also taken to the hospital. Officials called their injuries minor.
Police say they suspect Hicks was impaired, but they have not filed any charges pending toxicology results.
