Police in Harlan County said Tuesday that a man found dead inside his burned home following a suspicious fire Friday was murdered.

The fire was discovered at a home on Kelly Street in Evarts. Officials say Ronny King, 59, who lived alone in the home, was killed.

On Tuesday, police say preliminary autopsy results indicate that King suffered a single gun shot wound, resulting in his death. The death investigation has now been changed to murder.

So far, no arrests have been made.
