Police in Lexington continue the search for a driver who left a big mess behind early Wednesday morning.

Police say witnesses told them a dark BMW SUV missed a turn and ran into an apartment complex sign along Nancy Hanks Road, just off Red Mile Road, around 2:30 a.m. The BMW then hit a car and turned over a parked motorcycle. Investigators say the woman got out of the vehicle and stumbled into some nearby apartments. Then she came out, got back into the SUV and backed into another car before leaving the scene.
