Police made an arrest after a theft suspect nearly ran down three people with his pickup truck as he sped away from the scene Wednesday night.
Police say security guards spotted a man stealing supplies from a construction zone at Central Baptist Hospital around 9 p.m. When the guards tried to confront the suspect, the man tore off in his truck, nearly hitting them.
Officials say officers later arrested Lawrence Goodlet Jr., 34, at his home on Wilton Avenue after, finding fencing from the hospital in his truck. Police charged him with robbery and three counts of wanton endangerment.
