A pregnant woman who was injured when her car flipped over in Lexington Wednesday morning remains hospitalized.

The accident happened around 8 a.m. along Richmond Road, near St. Joseph Hospital East. Police say a silver Volvo turned in front of an SUV driven by Leticial Preacely, who then hit a tree and flipped the SUV.

Police say the Preacely, who is seven months pregnant, does not have life-threatening injuries, but they don't know the status of the unborn baby. Officials at St. Joseph Hospital East say Preacely is in stable condition, but will not release any information about her unborn baby.

There is no word on the name of the driver of the Volvo, or if any charges will be filed in the accident.
