The spokesperson for Fayette County schools confirms the principal and administrative dean at Cardinal Valley Elementary School have been placed on paid administrative leave due to allegations of misconduct.
The superintendent met with faculty Tuesday morning and a letter was sent to parents. Ivonne Beegle is the principal at the school and Suzanne Ray is the administrative dean.
The spokesperson for Fayette County schools told LEX 18 that the allegations of misconduct do not involve students or finances at the school. They also don't involve the performance of the school.
An investigation is underway. Superintendent Tom Shelton took action to place Beegle and Ray on administrative leave, which can last for 20 days.
Right now, a retired principal, Barbara Albaugh, is acting as principal for the school.
