A Pulaski County man was arrested Thursday and faces first-degree assault charges after he allegedly cut a man with a pocket knife.

The incident happened on Monday at a home on Puncheon Creek Road in Eubank. Police say Donald Newcomb, 57, of Eubank assaulted the victim, whose name was not released, and cut him twice on the neck and once in the chest.

Police did not release the victim's condition. Newcomb is being held in the Pulaski County Detention Center.
