Quick work by Danville firefighters limited damage at a Boyle County home early Wednesday morning.
The blaze broke out along Cypress Drive. Danville Fire Department chief Woody Ball says smoke detectors went off in the home, waking up everybody inside. They were all able to get out safely.
Crews quickly put out a fire burning in the attic. The house was undergoing a remodel and damage was limited to new construction in he back.
"The fire started around the chimney," Ball said. "We haven't called out the fire investigators because we're still on scene and we hope to get them on scene her in a little bit and get a determination on what caused the fire."
Officials say the fire does not appear suspicious.
There were no reported injuries.
