After an absolutely beautiful weekend we're in for a soggy start to your new work week. Rain chances will be on the rise Monday with occasional showers through the morning and a more widespread, soaking rain setting up later Monday into Monday night and early Tuesday. Total rainfall amounts will range from 1/2" to 1" across northwestern counties to 2-3" on the high end from the Bluegrass and especially into southeastern counties. A flood watch is out for southeastern counties from noon Monday through Tuesday morning.
Highs will stay in the low to mid 70s Monday and fall to the upper 60s/low 70s Tuesday. Cooler, drier air wraps in behind the departing cold front late Tuesday and the rain will wind down. Expect sunshine and highs in the upper 60s Wednesday. 70s are back on the scene late in the week with more showers and storms possible late Friday & Saturday.
