Randall Cobb is mad. At the media.

This was on his Facebook account Tuesday afternoon: "I strongly dislike the media- always tryna get somethin negative out of u."

Cobb, who has developed into one of the most exciting college football players in America, had a lot of support from fans.

This is what I put on his Facebook account: "Randall, I can't speak for anyone else, and I don't know who else asked you something that might have ticked you off, but I asked you an obvious question. a question fans want to know, and you handled it with ease."

"You seem to handle the media when I am around you like someone whose done this for a long time. and I can't speak for anyone else, but I have a great deal of respect for how you handle yourself both on and off the field."

Later Tuesday evening, Cobb again posted to his facebook page.

"Just to clear things up with anyone- nothing happened in interviews today. I just was making a general opinion about the media. It is ok for a person to make an opinion right?? I guess I should stop stopping my mind on FB...."

I've gotten to the point as a reporter that I'm convinced that you never really know someone you interview.

In spite of that, it doesn't stop me from making quick judgements. Don't we all?

I've interviewed Randall Cobb a lot. He's as good in front of a camera as he is on the field.

He plays with passion. When he talks about football, it's often done with passion.

Sometimes you interview a player one on one, and sometimes it's a group interview.

Today it was a group. The Louisville Courier and all three Lexington TV stations. I'm not sure I was there for the entire interview, but I was there for just about all of it. This is during a time period where you are normally trying to get as many interviews as you can in a short time period.

I really don't believe anyone was trying to be negative. You can easily say, hey you are a reporter, you are biased.

I have at times seen a reporter look for the negative. Trust me, when you do this, it is easy to spot.

Cobb was asked obvious questions. Questions that I think most of you would have asked.

Cobb was asked about the two QB's battling for the starting job, Will Fidler and Morgan Newton.

"They are both looking pretty good," say Cobb.

"We just have a few kinks to work out. They are both getting real reps."

Cobb was asked to talk about it potentially being difficult to change quarterbacks this deep into the season.

"It's difficult at times but the coaches are going to make a decision that is best for the team and that's what we need."

Cobb was asked a followup to the two quarterbacks. About their improvement.

"It's hard to tell because I work more with ones than twos so I really don't know what's going on with everything."

When Cobb says ones, that's first team.

There are so many who are want to see Cobb play quarterback. Through the years, we've seen quarterbacks who switch to other positions, but their heart remains under center.

It's only natural the Cobb thinks about playing quarterback.

"At times yeah, but looking back on it I think it was the better move for me. Career move and the team."

"Mike (Hartline) was doing what he had to do and was taking care of his job, and we needed a receiver to go to and I thought I could be that guy."

How many of us have walked a mile in Cobb's shoes. He understands things that unless your name is Dusty Bonner, or Tim Couch, we can't relate to as well.

"There is a lot of things that goes on as a quarterback. There are a lot of things to process. It's a headache really."

"I have a lot of respect for any quarterback who can play the game."

"I am just going to do whatever the coaches want me to do. If that's play quarterback I'll play quarterback. If it's receiver it's receiver. Doesn't matter."

Cobb has done a wonderful job running the Wildcat offense. From what Brooks has said, we are going to see it more, but it's not going to be UK's main offense. So far this year, Cobb is doing almost no throwing from this formation.

"I haven't, but we are going to expand the package a little bit more and we will see what happens in the future."

Brooks repeated on Monday what he's said before. Cobb's future is playing wide out and return man in the NFL.

As far as Cobb, he continues to answer this question the same way.

"I think I do have a better chance but I'm not thinking about that. I'm trying to focus on the team this year and what I can do this week to get ready for Auburn and get us prepared."

Cobb then answers the last question about the change in Morgan Newton since he showed up to UK.

"Knowing the system. Knowing the offense. It's how it goes with time. You learn more and you get more experience in practice and stuff."
