He already has an entourage, and everyone wants his picture. Now, a pure white thoroughbred from western Kentucky is headed to Hollywood, where he is expected to be in demand to appear in future movies.

The horse, named Arctic Bright, belongs to Paul Megson and his family, who are from Marshall County. Hollywood horse trainer Rex Peterson, who is responsible for putting horses in hit movies like Secretariat, Seabiscuit and Dreamer, noticed Arctic Bright at the World Equestrian Games in Lexington. The group announced that the horse is headed to Hollywood at a press conference at the Thoroughbred Center in Lexington Tuesday.

"I've looked for five years for the right horse," said Peterson. "And this one was the one and I knew it when I seen him.

Peterson says white horses like Arctic Bright, who is also doubled registered as a paint horse, are rare and huge demand, so it likely won't be long until the horse makes his first appearance on the big screen.

Megson says he can't wait to see his pride and joy in films. "I'll be very proud," he said. "Let's put it that way."

Peterson says he wants to spend several months training Arctic Bright before putting him in a movie, but expects requests for him to come in much sooner than that.
