A re-canvass has been requested in the U.S. Congress Kentucky 6th District race won by incumbent Ben Chandler.

The current results of the election have Chandler, a Woodford County Democrat, winning re-election by 600 votes over Republican challenger Andy Barr. The request for the re-canvass was made by Barr to Secretary of State Trey Grayson's office.

With 100% of precincts reporting, Chandler received a total of 119,845 votes to 119,245 for Barr.
