A regional US Airways plane going from Washington, D.C. to Memphis made an emergency landing at Blue Grass Airport Friday morning after reporting hydraulic problems.

As a precaution, the CR J 200 plane made an emergency landing in Lexington with 42 passengers on board at about 11 a.m. A smooth landing was reported.

The pilot and crew received a message showing there could be a mechanical problem with the plane.
