Lexington police say a robber bit a bystander who tried to stop him as he fled the scene Wednesday evening.
According to police, a man just reached across the counter of the Dollar General on Waller Avenue and grabbed cash out of the register at around 9 p.m. As he ran out of the store, somebody tried to stop him, and the suspect bit him.
The victim was not seriously injured.
Police say the suspect might have left in a Silver Jeep Liberty.
