Robbery Suspect Arrested, Charged In Connection With Two Incidents

Police arrest a man after an armed robbery in Lexington, only to find out this isn't the first time the suspect has committed the crime.

Police say they got a call around 2:00 Saturday afternoon at the Subway on North Locust Hill Drive off Richmond Road.

Police arrested the man, 52-year-old Arnold Perkins shortly after.

Investigators say the suspect walked into the Subway with a knife and demanded money and then got away with cash in a silver car. The victim came into the Little Caesar's next door asking someone to call 911.

LEX 18 spoke to that Little Caesars employee who said the victim looked very frazzled and told us the help of some good samaritans led to the arrest of the suspect.

"They jumped in their Camaro and actually followed him up and around Movie Tavern and came back and proceeded to give the cops the license plate number," remembers Jeff Farkas, the assistant manager at Little Caesars.

Police say Perkins is also being charged in the robbery that happened on Thanksgiving Day at the Liquor Barn on Richmond Road.

Perkins is being held at the Fayette County Detention Center.
