The Rockcastle County High School softball player injured when a line drive struck her in the head during a game continues to recover.
Holly Ham was released from UK Hospital Monday and is continuing her rehabilitation at Cardinal Hill Rehabilitation Hospital in Lexington.
In a press release, her parents credited God, and all of the support from family friends and community for her recovery.
"Holly is at Cardinal Hill Rehabilitation Hospital and is doing great," Julie Ham said. "We would like to thank everyone for their constant concern and prayers for Holly. She is doing remarkably well and we credit all to the Lord along with the prayers and support we have received over the past week. Our family truly appreciates the thoughts, visitors and prayers, we are truly blessed. A special Thank You to the Doctors and Nurses in the ER, Trauma ICU and UK Children's Hospital for their skillful, compassionate care."
The Lady Rocket junior was pitching in a game on March 28 when the ball came screaming back at her. It hit her square in the face.
