It was a race to the top of Lexington for dozens of runners.
The Urban Mountain Challenge was held Saturday morning in two downtown Lexington buildings. The race is a stair-climbing event where runners compete against the clock for the fastest time.
Participants went up two building towers: the Central Bank building and the Lexington Financial Center.
"I found out my buddy was coming out and I figured it'd be a fun challenge so I figured I'd sign up for it. Definitely unique. I had no idea what to expect. But I knew it was going to be good time. He's crazy and I'm crazy so, we went for it," says Matt Hogg, a competitor.
This is the second annual Urban Mountain Challenge. A "Survivor's Party" was held following the event.
