Quite the sight on Interstate 75 Saturday near exit 118, just before the northern split. A Colorado couple barely escaped 40-foot flames after their RV blew up. The incident backed up traffic nearly 20 miles.

Donnie and Christi Harrison were headed home to Telluride, Colorado when a stranger honked and told them their RV was on fire. Firefighters say a tire blew, then caught fire causing two propane tanks to explode. The couple, along with their dog pulled over and ran away, just before the RV went up in flames.

An off-duty Lexington fire captain was first on the scene and helped them escape.
