Salt Trucks On Patrol

Salt trucks hit the roads around Lexington early Monday morning as snowflakes began to fly overnight.

With temperatures above or just at freezing, the snow hasn't caused problems on the roadways so far. Pavement was just wet around Lexington at 5 a.m.

But drivers should use caution as they head out Monday morning. As the snow continues to fall, slick spots could develop, especially along the usual trouble spots - bridges and overpasses. Heavier snow showers could cause reduced visibility as well.

A few school systems cancelled classes Monday. To see the list, click the SnowTracker Closings and Delays banner at the top of the LEX18.com homepage.
