A same-sex couple says they were thrown out of a Madison County park over the weekend.
Cherie Chenault and her partner Destiny hired a photographer to shoot some maternity pictures at Million Park. When they kissed for the camera, the gatekeeper asked them to leave.
"We kissed and she snapped a picture, and we were asked to leave because we were having inappropriate behavior," Chenault said. "It was the first time I actually felt like we were a different couple."
The manager of the park simply said everybody is welcome in the park.
According to the website, Million Park is split in two sections, one owned by the city, the other privately funded.
Cherie and Destiny say they plan to get married in New York state.
