Dispatchers confirm that a school bus flipped onto its side in Knox County Tuesday morning.

The accident happened along Paynes Branch Road, off KY-1304, around 7 a.m. Officials say there were 30 kids on the bus ranging from middle to high school age, and EMS took eight students to the hospital with minor injuries.

So far, there is no word on what caused the crash, but it is believed that slick roads at the time may have been a factor.
