A scuffle between neighbors put Lexington Police on high alert Wednesday night.

Officers responded to a home along Tennessee Avenue around 11:30 p.m. after a report of shots fired inside. Investigators later determined no shots were fired, but a neighbor did break into the house and got into a fight with the man who lives there. The suspected burglar suffered injuries to his arm and wrist.

Police cited the suspect for burglary. Officials did not release his name.
