The search for a man accused of abducting someone from Lexington and robbing them in Jessamine County is over after a chase and suicide in New York state.

We originally told you about the story last week as a Craigslist ad that turned into the abduction and robbery. Now, Lexington Police say the victim knew their suspect, 28-year old Michael Crandell. They say he did show up at Crandell's apartment on Camelot Drive to see about a motorcycle. When that person got there, Lexington Police say he was tied up, driven to Jessamine County and robbed.

Police had a warrant out for Crandall when they got word from New York state police that he led them on a chase in the Plattsburgh area that ended with Crandall shooting and killing himself.

Crandall's girlfriend, 22-year old Erica Felix was in the car and taken to jail.
