Lexington Police said Friday that they have charged a second suspect in connection to a fatal shooting in early January.
Allen Charles Burgess, 22, was charged Friday with one count of complicity to commit murder. Burgess was already being held in the Fayette County Detention Center on an unrelated case at the time of his charge.
On January 5 at approximately 5:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to Simpson Drive in reference to an assault. Upon arrival they found a male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to UK Medical Center where he later died. He was subsequently identified by the Fayette County Coroner's Office as Joseph Randolph.
On January 16, investigators arrested and charged Quante Jarod Johnson, 18, in connection with the murder. Johnson is charged with murder and tampering with physical evidence.
