Last week, Kentucky State Police offered a $1,000 reward after a suspicious fire caused minor damage to a building at an Anderson County business.

Early Monday morning, that building burned down.

When firefighters arrived at Red's Welding and Scrap Removal on Bardstown Road, a storage barn was already engulfed in flames. The fire destroyed the building.

Police say somebody set fire to the same barn in the early morning hours of Sunday, Oct. 21. The flames burned out without causing much damage in that first fire.

Officials say they don't think the fires were a random act.

"We're not sure who we're looking at at this point, but this does seem to be targeted at the owner of this property," Anderson County Fire District cheif Mike Barnes said.

Police continue to investigate. If you have any information about the fire, call the KSP arson tip-line at 1-800-27-ARSON.
