Police say the driver of a semi was airlifted to UK Hospital after a wreck on I-64 in Bath County Tuesday afternoon.

The accident happened near Owingville. Officials at the scene say the driver of the semi, which was eastbound, was either very tired or may have fallen asleep when he went off the road and rolled the semi onto its side. So far, there is no word on the condition of the driver.

The semi was the only vehicle involved, and traffic was not affected. Officials say, however, that traffic may be affected when the semi is removed from the scene.
