The sentencing of a Taylor County woman who pleaded guilty to killing her husband was delayed Tuesday.

Geneva Mae Brown-Hicks admitted shooting and killing her husband Randolph Hicks Jr. She was supposed to face sentencing Tuesday, but a judge delayed it until May 3, after her attorney requested more time to process paper work.

The new sentencing date will be two years and a day after Geneva killed her husband. Family members say it's taken far too long to resolve the case.
