Several families may need to temporarily find a place to stay after fire broke out at an apartment complex in Lexington.

It happened late Sunday afternoon at the Woodview Apartments on Alexandria Drive.  Firefighters believe the fire started in a vacant apartment that was undergoing renovations.  Crews were able to quickly put the fire out.  11 other units in the building were occupied, but no one was hurt.

The Red Cross has been notified to help those families find another place to stay.
