There is a tornado warning currently in effect for Jefferson County until 11:30am.
A line of strong thunderstorms will make its way through Central and Eastern Kentucky by Noon and go into the early afternoon hours. There is a good chance that this line weakens a little bit as it moves Eastward. However, we do have the chance (especially in the Western counties of our DMA) to see damaging straight line winds with a few of these thunderstorms, a long with heavy rain and frequent lightning. The threat for hail is LOW, while the possibility for damaging straight line winds would be our biggest threat for today.
More updates as this line pushes Eastward. Keep it with LEX 18 and LEX18.com.
