Victim Taken To Hospital After Shooting In Lexington

Police say a victim was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries after a shooting in Lexington Monday morning.

Police say the victim suffered a gunshot wound to the shin and the back side. Officers were called out to Shopper's Choice Market on Georgetown Street and Glen Arvin Avenue shortly after 11:00 a.m. on a report of three shots fired. A neighbor said they saw two men running down the street.

Investigators picked up two shell casings from the scene and are waiting to review surveillance video to gather more information about the incident.
